In the summer of 2022 we traveled to Wittenheim, France, to bring home Old Parry’s True Pecan Lady “Luna.” She is our second female from Cynthia Schmitt at Old Parry’s Kennel, a breeder who shares our passion and long-term vision. Luna comes from a two-generation artificial insemination breeding, carefully designed to reconnect with strong old German lines. These lines have consistently proven themselves in health, conformation, and working ability. Looking back in her pedigree, you’ll find IPO-titled dogs – something that was still open for participation in Germany at the time. In Sweden, American Staffordshire Terriers are not allowed to compete for IPO or IGP titles, but we do have the opportunity to work toward BH and FH titles, which is part of our plan for Luna.

Luna lives with my cousin, and these are his own words: “Luna is a bright and social dog, always keeping the pack together – especially watching over her young, two-legged sister with patience and care. She is protective of our home and family, always attentive and ready. Outdoors, she is full of energy, thriving in nature, swimming, and playing with other dogs. Indoors, she finds balance, enjoying calm moments and a cozy nap on a rainy day. Her mix of drive, intelligence, and steadiness makes her a truly special companion.”
