Chopper (CH Pacific Northern Phantom, CGC) was whelped in 1996, bred by Noel Fall at Pacific Kennel (USA), and owned by Beck Dickinson of Blackstar Kennel (USA). Not only did Chopper earn his Championship title, but he was also fully health-tested and achieved the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. He lived alongside his owner until the remarkable age of 15.5 years. In 2014, Beck Dickinson entrusted us with two frozen semen breedings from this exceptional dog.

During his lifetime, Chopper was never bred to a pure Ruffian bitch. When securing these two breedings, our vision for preserving his legacy was clear: his bloodline would only be continued through a pure Ruffian female.

Most Ruffian breeders, however, are likely more familiar with his sister, Pacific Northern Spitfire, who was incorporated into Lisa Casey’s breeding program at Fullmoon Kennel (USA). One of the most significant litters, in our opinion, came when she was bred to Sunbolt’s Highlander. From that pairing came several offspring that left a lasting impact on the Ruffian line, not only in the USA but internationally. Among them were:

Sunbolt’s Black Ice of BDR was sire one of the most beautiful Ruffian females we have ever had the pleasure of meeting—and even hosting in our home for a weekend—Vice WW12 CH SunBolt Miss America. Words cannot fully express how excited we are to finally incorporate Chopper into our breeding program.
